Preservation and Renewal of the Historic Steam Plant

The Steam Plant was built as a power-generating plant by Dayton Power & Light in 1907 with additions in 1917 and 1948. It served as a backup steam heating system for downtown Dayton and was used until the plant closed in the mid-1980s. It has been carefully renovated preserving the unique architectural features such as high ceilings, exposed beams, brick walls and iconic floor to ceiling windows. The transformation is a simple and elegant canvas to create your memorable event!

  1. I would like to get more info for renting for an event for The Dayton Philharmonic Assoc. (DPVA )The dates could be either April 13, 14th or May 11th.
We will be having a Sock Hop, serve food, beer and wine.
Hire a DJ for dancing. We are a non profit group and this would be a fund raising event for us
