The former power generating plant is a newly renovated event venue versatile for any size group or occasion. The interior is an open floor plan with iconic arched windows, 30-foot high ceilings, exposed beams and brick and hand-crafted two-story built-in bar. Additional features include soft furniture groupings, state of the art sound system, accent lighting, an onsite catering prep kitchen, a luxury VIP suite with a balcony overlooking the Grand Hall, and much more. The ambiance is a perfect mix of old-world charm with modern sensibilities!

The Grand Hall – Breathtakingly beautiful, The Grand Hall can accommodate 350 seated guests or 500 person reception. But smaller groups won’t feel lost either! Using the existing soft furniture allows for intimate conversation areas and breaks up the space providing a cozy atmosphere.

The Boiler Room – Just off The Grand Hall is the lower level Boiler Room. The Boiler Room is perfect for a small group gathering, meeting or could be used as your after dinner “Dance Club!”

The Pavilion – A picture perfect outdoor green space can be the site for your ceremony, tented reception or evening under the stars. Truly a delightful urban oasis!

Preservation and Renewal of the Historic Steam Plant

The Steam Plant was built as a power-generating plant by Dayton Power & Light in 1907 with additions in 1917 and 1948. It served as a backup steam heating system for downtown Dayton and was used until the plant closed in the mid-1980s. It has been carefully renovated preserving the unique architectural features such as high ceilings, exposed beams, brick walls and iconic floor to ceiling windows. The transformation is a simple and elegant canvas to create your memorable event!
